Work In Process : Just a Little Something

I've mentioned a few times I've been in a bit of a writer's slump lately. I have been staring at the same drafts for moons now, unsure of what to do with them, where to take the story, blah blah blah....

I thought a lot of it had to do with the fact that I had a lot of work published that I no longer loved. So, I removed it with the idea that I would tell the stories behind them. Now, that is just sitting in drafts, not because I don't love the idea of having an autobiographical anthology of sorts, but it's been more of a time issue with all of the things going on in life.

Every once in a while, a blurb of an idea will come from my keyboard. This is one of them. I am not sure what I am going to do with it yet. If I should create a new story, new character, new everything or, if this should be inserted into the already started tale that's been sitting patiently for me to add to it.

We shall see. Unlike some writers who sit and crank out tales from start to finish with a story in mind (this happens, but it is rare for me) I tend to get ideas, and write them. Little scenarios, write them. Then, they all come together as a puzzle into a tale to be told.

It's a weird way to work, I know that. And probably why it takes me so long to get anything done. But that is okay, I am not in any sort of a race here.

So, here we go. I published this little gem on my Tumblr this morning.

A Little Something

I'm in the mood for slow, passionate morning sex. You know the kind where you edge to the point of no return, only to stop just as the tip remains. I hear your breath before it becomes the calm against my skin. We shake the night's sleep from our minds as you fill me with every inch of your cock. My body arched against yours, feeling your balls against my cheeks. The pleasure from feeling every inch of you and knowing how deep you are gets the juices flowing.

You start moving with long, slow strokes, making sure I feel every inch of you inside me, over and over again. Let’s see how long it takes before you go a little faster, and I’m begging you to let me feel you cum inside of me as your cock twitches and throbs against my flesh.........

Writer's Thoughts: Fun Fact

 Writer's Thoughts: Fun Fact

Writer's Thoughts: Fun fact -- Being polyamorous does not mean having multiple partners or that a polaym person is out there having sex with multiple people. To be polyamorous is to have the capacity to develop close romantic, platonic, or queerplatonic, flirtationships, situationships, or comet relationships with multiple people. You're polyamorous whether you have 1 partner or 10 partners or no partners.

Polyamory is about the ability to love multiple people, not about whether or not you are currently involved in intimate relationships with multiple people. Read that again -- it's about the ABILITY TO... the freedom, the openness -- all of the things that monogamists tell you is wrong or not allowed in a relationship.  Polyamory = relationship based. Swinging = sex-based. Two different things, although you can be one, the other, or both, and there is some overlap in the lifestyles.

Happy to Report: She Writes Things - Anthology Update

I tell you what.... time sure has flown by since my last post. I don't even know how that happened. But I do know the anthology isn't ready yet.

I have removed all of the separate works (books) from the retailer's sites. I had to wait a period for all of those to be removed and am happy to report that they are all gone.

That was important because if I were to have those lingering and tried to upload the anthology, the retailers, Amazon especially, would ping me for duplicate and/or plagiarized content, and it would turn into this giant headache.

While I have all of my documents in Word and saved to an external hard drive and on the cloud, I put them all into one large Google Doc. Easy for me to edit and work on using whatever device I wanted.

Well, with a document that long, my spell checker and Grammarly were playing very ugly with each other, and it was slowing down the typing and editing process, causing a large amount of frustration.

I then decided to go back to using Seequill, only to have them send out a memo that they were permanently closing.

Awesome.

I finally upgraded my Scrivener, but I only have it on the desktop. Once I am done with my day job, I don't want to sit here in the office any longer. So, my next step, I guess, is to get it on the laptop too.

It's been really frustrating trying to clean up all of these documents and get them together into one cohesive unit to put back up for sale. I cannot move forward with writing until this project is off my desk.

It is coming. Eventually. The anthology. New books. New reads.

 New stuff. It. Is. Coming.
