Never, ever be afraid of change.
I sit here writing this post well into New Year Eve, knowing tomorrow brings a whole new year with so many opportunities to share some more words.
I have been writing little bits here and there, but not the way I used to over the years. For the longest time I thought it was writer's block but when I published the latest story this year, I realized, it's not just writer's block. It's that I don't want to write what I used to write. I am not that writer anymore.
I don't want to use another pen name like so many others do. I don't want to start over as someone else.
So, I have decided it's time to take those old stories out of the catalog. Put them in an anthology. Tell the stories behind the stories. Leave the newer ones published and continue forward fresh and new. Writing the things you want to write - longer stories. Poems. Prose.
And that is exactly what I am going to do.
I have this amazing story that I have been working on for the last year and I feel like this is what is holding me back. It's time.
See you in 2022!
